(bright music) – They did not say bring mics. Week five. It’s notes time. It’s Friday. That’s what I have to say, but I’m taking you with me as I walk down the stairs.

on this vlog, though, and I think you’ll all agree why. So this is my pre-show ritual that I learned from my friends
that know stuff about health and I dry brush and I’m
pretty sure I’m doing it right ’cause I watched my best
friend do it like a lot, but basically, it’s a brush
and you brush your skin and it’s supposed to be good for you and I’ll believe anything, literally anything, which you can tell by the amount of CBD creams
and Airborne chewies, I eat those ’cause they
taste good, though, and so before every show,
I brush my entire body and you’re supposed to
brush towards your heart. It gets your lymphatic system
going, I think, probably, and, you know, that’s all I know about it, but it’s a nice ritual and so this is getting ready for the show. Number two! Two doje. And listening to Taylor Swift, obviously, is a really crucial part of it. So I said that I had some
friends visiting at the show and I think you guys might
recognize one of them. – I’m not wearing foundation, I did not sign a form, I did not, I’m not okay with this. – Alex Wyse, ladies and gentlemen. – She’s so brilliant in the show and you have to come

oil ’cause I’m a weirdo, but it’s really awesome, it’s a really awesome
way to wash your face and not dry you out in the winter months. So yeah, we had a really
exciting day today. Alex Wyse, of course, is
here, which made me so happy. Eve Ensler was there, so cool. I thought I saw Tony Danza there, but turns out I didn’t, I think, maybe he was, hey Tony, what’s up? Love Who’s the Boss? But yeah, it was a really exciting day, and now it’s my favorite part of the day which is sleeping and I’m
listening to The 1975. There’s always music. Wherever I am, I am always playing music. It is like the most
important part of my day. And then I wash my face
again after the olive oil, I use this like kale,
which I’m almost out of, kale green tea and spinach
vitamins face wash, ’cause, you know, if you’re
gonna go all in with health, put it on your face, too, right? So yeah, so I’m gonna wash my face, I’m gonna brush my teeth, I’m gonna take a bunch of vitamins, which maybe I’ll show you, it’s kind of fun how many
weird homeopathic things us Broadway people take
to stay super healthy and to endure the week. So anyway, yay, day in the life, baby. I told you I’d show you how
many vitamins I take at night. This is all to help me sleep. Where’d my melatonin go? That’s in the there somewhere, but yeah, basically lots of sleeping homeopathic things to
help me go right to sleep and get a restful sleep and then some vitamins, and the best vitamins of all time, photos of my best friends, I got these two right here. That’s one my best friends, Elizabeth, and that’s one of my
best friends, Stephanie. Wait, I got one more, and this one is right when I walk in, this is my best friend, Chloe. And that’s the best vitamin that I need is best friends, obviously. Anyway, this was a to share day with me, and I’m gonna hit the hay, probably watch some Seinfeld and yeah. Go away! – [Dyana] What are you doing? – What up, butt? – [Dyana] What’s on your face? – Just a little face mask. Yeah, gotta keep my youthful glow and it makes me shiny like a unicorn! your carpet right now and it’s killing me. – Oh, I like to match my surroundings. I took it from Elizabeth Stanley. She also– – Yeah, you’re gonna have

And that brings us to another episode of – [Both] On the Puff! – And here we have Lauren Patten, best known for her work as Awkward Girl on, Nerdy Girl, I’m so sorry. – God, Kathryn, how? – Nerdy Girl on the show Awkward, which would make you awkward also. – I love your work in that, by the way. – Thank you, but like it’s
truly very well known, so I don’t understand
how you mixed that up. – I don’t either. I’m really sorry. – It’s okay, I forgive you. – Lauren plays Jo in our show. – Would you say Jo’s a nerdy girl? – I don’t think Jo is a nerdy girl. I think Jo gets a solid B
to C range in all classes. – So you have range as an actor? – Yes. (laughs) – At least a solid A in wit. – Yeah, A in wit. – Solid A in wit.
– Super witty. – Very witty. – Wit is underappreciated in high school. Do you think that as being in Awkward, has that prepared you for Jo in the sense that is Jo awkward? – Yeah, I think that Jo one
on one is not awkward at all and I think with people
who actually get Jo she’s like super not awkward, but I think in general
high school situations, not super great at talking
to most people because– – Jo is wise beyond her years and misunderstood by her peers. – For sure, for sure. – So Lauren, back to you as a person, I’ve known you forever. – Yes. – Since we were babies. – No, but yes. – Since you had long, curly hair. – I did have such long hair. – You had long hair. – I had really long hair. – We did Spring Awakening together in LA in a 99 seat theater. – Yes, yes, we did. – Lauren, what’s your

it was hybrid electric and it was like a baby robin’s egg blue. It was a beautiful car. – I remember that car. – That is a pretty color of blue. – We’ve had many deep talks in that car. – We did, we did. That is something I miss. I miss getting to sing in my car ’cause now it’s awkward
to sing in my apartment and everybody can hear me
and I really don’t like. – One, two, three. (laughs) – On a serious note, you do, what do you do to prepare for your show, because you, like you said,
you sing and talk very loud. – How do you keep it up? – And you move your body very quickly. – Yes. – So how do you warm that
up and excel the way you do? – Thank you, Derek. I appreciate that you think I excel. – You do. – I mean, above average. – Better than Jo’s grades in high school. I think, so I do a long
